CARING ABOUT OUR HEALTH & WELL-BEING
While I was working out a few days ago I had the TV sound on and music playing; the one thing that I noticed every time I looked up there was a pharmaceutical commercial on TV. I looked to the side for some reason to listen to some of them and was struck not by the benefits of whatever drug it was but by the possible side effects. Everything from leukemia, dizziness, blood loss, and even death etc. & etc. The more you listen to these commercials it makes you wonder why you would ever even take them? Now, don't get me wrong, some of these drugs are helpful and have helped hundreds if not thousands of people and not everybody gets the side effects. But it makes you wonder if what we put into our bodies possibly cause these problems? We eat a lot of processed foods with a lot of ingredients we can't even pronounce. To the extent that now they put everybody on statins. They are now finding out that long-term use of statins causes a lot of problems such as diabetes, kidney stress, and possibly kidney failure. A great read on this subject is Statin Disaster by David Brownstein. This book shows the problem and is backed by studies and statistics. Definitely worth a read if you're on statins, especially if you have been on statins for an extended period of time. Another thing that amazes me is my clients who I get to eat real food, take the appropriate supplements, plus exercise tend to feel better and have a better quality of life. The research shows real, quality food leads to a longer life. The biggest thing I find that changes in their eating habits and increase their exercise (mainly resistance training) is a great sense of well-being. It's just amazing when you get someone to eat real food and exercise the changes that they make in not only their attitude but their physical appearance.
I have a client who is 70 years old he dropped weight and put on muscle and got really excited about how much better he felt. He made the statement, "I feel better now than I did when I was in my 50's". This kind of progress and improvements that really get me excited about helping people. Another great story involves an 85-year-old client. Three years ago it seemed he was ready for a wheelchair or walker, having a lot of low back issues and some shoulder issues along with what he said was a bum knee. I sent him to one of my health care professionals for stem cells. After getting stem cells in his back, shoulder, and knees make and made great strides in recovery. After strength training, he is playing golf 5 to 6 days a week. This how stem cells can help some people get rejuvenated and help them to feel better . I have an upcoming article on stem cells by Dr. Bill Durrett to give you some idea of how well it works. If you're older and tired of being weak or having poor balance let me help you out. It's never too late and you're never too old to improve. Just to give an example I read a story about a World War II veteran who wanted to go to Pearl Harbor. He had so much trouble walking that he hired himself a personal trainer. The trainer got him on an exercise program and proper nutrition. At 101 years old he was able to go to Pearl Harbor and walk. He also added about 20 pounds of new muscle. So, whenever I have somebody tell me I'm too old or I hurt too much I tell them about that young 101 year old man. There are no excuses. If you're ready to have the lifestyle you've been dreaming of, no matter what your age, I'm here to help. If you know anybody that would benefit from this article or this information please share!
