The Arch Enemy of a Healthy and Energized Lifestyle.

I was given a book by Stephen Pressfield. “The War of Art” by a good friend and training partner Pastor Adam Hilderbrandt. In this book, he talks about Resistance.

He talks about how most of us have two lives. The life we live in the un-lived life within us. Between the two stands Resistance. I’m going to call him Mr. resistance

You ever have a dream about the person you might become or want to be. Then you build on what you started division human the vision you had. You make excuses not to follow through or never start Mr. resistance. The most toxic force on the planet. The root of more unhappiness than poverty and disease.

Where am I going with this, you ask?

How many times have you started a diet nutrition plan only to quit 6 to 8 weeks later? You got frustrated with your progress or when on a bench you can thank Mr. resistance.

If you or someone you know ever started going to the gym. Only to quit two months later. If you have you the gym owner’s favorite member one who never uses the gym. Mr. resistance. Potent forces can kick your butt. I’ve had clients leave and come back because Mr. resistance got their way. Mr. resistance can disfigure cripple our lives before you realize it it’s of its existence. I’ve had my share of battles with him as well as working work to working to overcome cerebral palsy. Most of my life. I sometimes became my own worst enemy. Thinking I was never going to make progress. I overcame Mr. resistance. A lot of us don’t overcome Mr. resistance we skip the gym we eat whatever’s convenient. Thinking that we'll start tomorrow the next week or the new year. Mr. resistance will fight you every step of the way. We don’t recognize it. Why do we have to wait until our health is bad were overweight? Even a death door at death's door before we wake up and confront the Mr. resistance? Sometimes Mr. resistance beats us down to the point we don’t care.

I see this every day. I spent half of my life trying to get people to overcome Mr. resistance. To the point of being overblown. At one point. Now I work to educate people about Mr. resistance I write to give them seminars. Teach clients to overcome the hardest things change because resistance fights us anyway. Can. Not you know he’s there. It’s time to take charge of your health and well-being have more energy, better sleep.
